Charlie Sheen refers to himself as a ‘single dad;’ to his twin sons, aged 14, and asserts that Brooke Mueller is ‘not in the picture.’
harlie Sheen is currently in his “solo parent” phase.
The former “Two and a Half Men” star has been occupied with “mostly raising [his] 14-year-old boys,” as revealed in an interview with People published on Monday.
Sheen, who became a father to twins Max and Bob with ex Brooke Mueller in March 2009, stated that the actress is “not in the picture too much right now.”
He claimed to be engaged in “doing solo dad stuff” with the “really cool, really smart, and really funny” teenagers, while his ex-wife is working on “figuring some stuff out on her end.”
Mueller’s representative declined Page Six’s request for comment.
The 46-year-old was in a marital union with Sheen from 2008 to 2011. Following their divorce, the Golden Globe winner was mandated to pay $55,000 per month in child support.
The actor asserted that his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, is “not currently involved.”
“Their mom has been working to sort things out on her side,” he claimed.
Amidst their ongoing battle with drug addictions, custody of Max and Bob initially went to Sheen’s ex-wife Denise Richards and Mueller’s brother, Scott Mueller. Eventually, the children returned to live with their mother.
Charlie Sheen’s legal dispute with Brooke reignited in 2018 when he asserted that he could no longer sustain child support payments. (At that time, the Emmy nominee was also providing $20,000 a month to Richards for their daughters Sami, 19, and Lola, 18.)
In 2022, the former spouses reached a confidential financial settlement.
The former pair celebrated the arrival of twin sons, Bob and Max, in 2009.
Sheen has been seen with his sons on various occasions, ranging from a smoothie run in March to a visit to a surf shop four months later.
Meanwhile, Brooke has kept a low profile since voluntarily entering rehab in 2019.
Sheen, on the other hand, shared with People on Thursday that he will reach six years of sobriety in January and is relishing a “very consistent lifestyle” with Bob and Max.
The former “Two and a Half Men” star has partaken in numerous recent outings with the teenagers.
