Valeria Lukyanova: The Human Barbie Doll
A Striking Resemblance to the Iconic Doll

In today’s world, many people go to great lengths to enhance their appearance, making plastic surgery increasingly popular. Valeria Lukyanova, a Ukrainian woman known as the “Human Barbie,” has garnered attention for her uncanny resemblance to the world-famous doll.

Valeria first captured the attention of Russia, where she resides, after winning the international beauty contest “Miss Diamond Crown of the World” in 2013.

Her newfound fame led to features in various magazines, commercials, and eventually global recognition when she began posting photos and videos of herself on social media. Her story was covered by the Huffington Post and ABC News.

Adjusting to the Limelight

Initially, Valeria found it difficult to adjust to the attention, as she revealed in an interview with Cosmopolitan. However, she eventually became more comfortable with people wanting to take her photo. When her images went viral, many speculated that she had undergone surgeries or used photoshop to achieve her appearance. Valeria, however, denied these claims and instead attributed her looks to a combination of hard work, good genes, and a healthy lifestyle.

The Key to Her Doll-like Appearance
Valeria maintains a strict vegetarian diet, primarily consisting of raw fruits and vegetables. She also avoids alcohol and smoking, and leads a healthy lifestyle, powered by prana. Her favorites include broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, nuts, grapefruits, and apples.

From Social Media to the Big Screen

Now 29 years old, the human doll has amassed a large social media following and has ventured into modeling. In 2017, she appeared in the horror film “The Doll,” alongside celebrities such as Mindy Robinson and Ron Jeremy. Valeria also holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and is married to Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Shkrabov.

The ‘Barbie’ Nickname: A Blessing and a Curse

Although she uses the nickname “Barbie” on social media, Valeria has stated that the comparison can sometimes feel “a little degrading and insulting.” However, she acknowledges that her resemblance to the doll is what made her famous. She uses the hashtag “Barbie” to make it easier for people to find her online.

Valeria asserts that she has never intended to promote an unrealistic body image. In an interview with InStyle, she explained that beauty, for her, is a combination of external and internal harmony, subtlety, sophistication, and qualities such as sincerity, kindness, power, and generosity.

Embracing Her Natural Beauty
Valeria often shares photos of herself without makeup, showcasing her natural beauty. Her story serves as a reminder that true beauty is a blend of both inner and outer qualities.
