“Fourth-Grader’s Heroic Act: Miracle Moore Assists in Delivering Her Baby Sister”
Miracle Moore, a fourth-grade student from Jennings, Missouri, found herself in an unexpected and heroic role when her mother went into labor three weeks early. Moore dialed 911, and with the guidance of dispatcher Scott Stranghoener, she assisted her mother in the delivery of her baby sister, Jayla.
Remaining remarkably calm, Moore followed Stranghoener’s instructions, helping her mother lie down and providing comfort with towels. She informed both her mother and the dispatcher about the imminent birth. Following Stranghoener’s guidance, Moore successfully delivered Jayla, even carefully washing her sister’s face before wrapping her up.
